This part 8 of IEC 61966 is applicable to the characterization and assessment of mulimedia colour scanners used in computer systems, multimedia and and similar applications. Colour control within the equipment is out of the scope of this part. For calibration of prepress input scanners, ISO 12641 will be applied.
