This specification covers two sizes of pumping assemblies designed for bulk transfer of heated asphalt in a mobile, continuous-mix asphalt plant. The pumping assemblies consist of a jacketed, positive-displacement, rotary pump; an electric motor with magnetic starter and push-button station; a jacketed strainer; drive mechanism; and other components and accessories specified herein. The assemblies shall be mounted on a steel skid-base to form an integrated, portable, asphalt pumping unit.
