This specification covers three types of sterile, disposable, plastic, cotton plugged pipets suitable for use in laboratory procedures.

Sterile, disposable pipets covered by this specification shall be of the following types and classes, as specified (see 6.3):

        Type I       General
        Type II      Serological
        Type III     Bacteriological

            Class 1.    1.0 milliliter (ml), Not Graduated
            Class 2.    1.0 ml in 1/10 ml
            Class 3.    1.0 ml in 1/100 ml
            Class 4.    1.1 ml in 1.0, 0.5 ml
            Class 5.    5.0 ml in 1/10 ml
            Class 6.    10.0 ml in 1/10 ml
