This part of 1167 specifies a general test method for determination of the resistance to internal hydrostatic pressure at a given temperature of thermoplastics pipes, fittings and piping systems for the transport of fluids. The preparation of test pieces to be used is described in the appropriate parts 2, 3 or 4 of this standard.
