This specification establishes the general performance, design, development, and inspection requirements for two types of emergency escape parachutes used for the recovery of personnel from aircraft under emergency escape conditions (see 1.2). This specification is not applicable to systems where personnel are recovered in a capsule or section of an aircraft.
